The tallest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States, inside Lookout Mountain — a glass-front elevator takes you 260 feet down, then a guide leads the walk to the falls itself, past cave formations built up over millions of years. About 30-40 minutes from Soddy-Daisy, a solid half-day outing with a real payoff at the end.

Getting around

Not checked yet

Open daily 8 AM-8 PM. Glass-front elevator descends 260 feet into the cave; a guided walk leads to the waterfall, past stalagmites, stalactites and flowstone. A paved, guided path rather than a backcountry hike.
