The site of the last Cherokee capital and council grounds before the 1838 removal — a genuinely significant Native American history site, with a visitor center and replica buildings bringing it to life. About a 40-minute drive from Soddy-Daisy, near Cleveland, but worth it.

263-acre park, no entrance fee. Visitor center with 19th-century Cherokee artifacts and art. Grounds include replicas of a council house, Cherokee farmhouse, three sleeping huts, a corn crib and barn, plus an amphitheater, nature trails and the Blue Hole spring.
