An easy drive from Soddy-Daisy — pick-your-own apples in the orchard, a market & gift shop, and the pie shop itself, famous for fried pies and apple dumplings (they sell around 3,000 fried pies and 2,000 dumplings on a typical weekend). Also home to Oren's Orchard Café for meat-and-three lunches. Started as a family selling apples off their front porch; still family-run six generations later.

Still to confirm: current pricing and whether apple picking is self-guided or requires anything arranged ahead of time.

Open Aug 1 through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Pie Shop and produce hours: Mon–Sat 9 AM–5 PM, Sun 1–5 PM (Eastern). Large parties should call ahead: 423-447-6376.
