Ranger Dani O'Brien teaches Appalachian-style vegetable preservation and pickling on the front porch of Harrison Bay's Interpretive Center, next to the aviary. Part of the park's Mamaw's Front Porch fall preservation series.

Registration is required for anyone who wants to take home their own pickled okra. Extra parking is available at the Star Walk Trail lot across from the Interpretive Center.
